Sub-Editing

Course Description

“All glass industry workers use sand, fire and glassblowing…but they don’t produce the same glasses” (Ahmad Zainuddin) The above quote reflects the sense of creativity in media editing, in the sense that the press release is not just an ordinary descriptive essay of an important event; it is rather an industry that needs continuous training, professionalism and creativity in news gathering, processing and dissemination, in an era of rapid advances in communication technology and telecommunications involving analytical thinking and a strong sense of ethics. Therefore, Journalism is a craft that is not different in its essence from any other crafts such as metalwork, carpentry …etc. However, the difference between a blacksmith/carpenter and other counterparts is the levels of creativity skills and type of tools used.
